INTASC 9 -
Principle #9: The teacher is a reflective practitioner who continually evaluates the effects of his/her choices and actions on others (students, parents, and other professionals in the learning community) and who actively seeks out opportunities to grow professionally.
INTASC 9 is the understanding that one can never stop betters his/hers teaching. We live in a world where something amazing is being released everyday, and we as teachers must be able to swallow our pride and do what is best for our students.
I believe that this INTASC is a double edge sward for many people, including me. I am willing to change, however, there comes a point will I will not change. It is only human nature. I will have to suppress my nature, if new information is correct. At Ball State University, I will force myself to change to what is better for the students. I will not allow myself to teach a less than optimal way.
