I view that constructivism learning is the best way to teach. I believe that the student will develop more cognitively, emotionally, and socially through a Piaget’s discovery learning base curriculum. I am also an advocate for a Montessori education. I believe that one should be judge on his or hers own growth and should not be subjected to the “traditional” style of lecture and testing education where individualism is pushed aside and self-worth and intelligence are based solely on grades through standardized testing.
An educator has the responsibility to teach the students how to learn for ones-self. Teaching for the sake of discovering, learning, and understanding is what I strive for while in the classroom.

Musical Philosophical Statement
The ability to grow ones musicianship is necessary for a music educator. As a vocal music educator the ability to play social instruments, such as the guitar, will open the doors of possibilities of teaching music education. There is a need to have the capacity to develop these skills because without it, one is limited to just his prime instrument, which, in turn, the students will suffer a better music education curriculum.
